Justice P. I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, sentenced Glory Okwor Ebube and Harrison Uzorchukwu Emmanuel to 30 months in jail on Monday, June 16, 2025, for fraud offenses.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) prosecuted the two suspects on separate charges including impersonation, advance fee fraud, and obtaining money under false pretenses.

Glory Okwor Ebube was accused of using a fake Telegram account impersonating celebrity Kim Kardashian to defraud victims of $2,000 in February 2024. Harrison Uzorchukwu Emmanuel was charged with defrauding a victim of $1,000 in March 2025 under the pretense of a bitcoin investment scheme.

Both defendants pleaded guilty to the charges. The prosecution presented incriminating evidence, while their defense attorneys requested leniency, noting the suspects were first-time offenders.

Justice Ajoku sentenced each to 30 months in Port Harcourt Correctional Center or a fine of ₦200,000 payable to the federal government. The court also ordered forfeiture of a Toyota Corolla Camry, an iPhone 15 Pro, and an iPhone 16 recovered from the accused.

Following their arrest in April 2025, based on credible intelligence, the convicts affirmed an affidavit of good behavior before the court.
