In a major bust, the Sirol police in Gwalior arrested a husband-wife duo, Rajveer Jatav and Suman Jatav, for allegedly running a ganja distribution network targeting local youth.
Acting on a tip-off about rising ganja addiction in Sirol, Futi Colony, and Hurawali, police raided the couple’s residence in Sirol Colony. Over seven kilograms of ganja were recovered during the search.
On police arrival, a crowd gathered outside their house but dispersed quickly. The couple tried to evade the police by rushing inside, but were apprehended soon after.
Interrogations revealed that Rajveer and Suman were actively selling ganja to youths in the area. Both have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with investigations ongoing to uncover the full extent of the drug smuggling network.
