Bilga police have arrested two individuals, Surindar Pal and Mapreet Singh, both residents of Sangowal village, on charges of drug trafficking. Authorities recovered 25 grams of heroin from their possession. A case has been registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In related incidents, Nakodar police apprehended a woman drug peddler named Puja from Thablke village with 5 grams of heroin. Meanwhile, Lohian Khas police arrested Gurcharan Singh of Mianni village, who was found carrying 15 tablets of an unspecified drug.
These arrests are part of ongoing efforts by the local police departments to curb drug trafficking and abuse in the region.
