The Federal High Court in Kaduna has convicted and sentenced Onah Henry Chinonso, also known as Sandra Morales, and Puklong Michael Longhom, alias Robertech, to prison for internet fraud.

The Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) prosecuted the two on separate charges of criminal impersonation on social media.

Chinonso was charged with fraudulently impersonating a female American, Sandra Morales, on Facebook in May 2024. Longhom faced similar charges for impersonating a tech expert, Robertech, on Instagram during the same period.

Both defendants pleaded guilty when their charges were read. Prosecutor Musa Usman Gadaka, supported by Mariya Nasaude Usman and Fatima Ustaz Usman, urged the court to impose appropriate sentences.

Justice R.M. Aikawa sentenced Chinonso to five years in prison or a fine of N500,000. Longhom received a four-year sentence or the same fine.
