SHREVEPORT, LA — Shreveport Police responded Sunday afternoon to a distressing call at a home on Boulevard Street in the Highland/Stoner Hill area, discovering a 2-year-old child suffering from serious bruises and wounds on the back, face, and thighs.
The investigation revealed the child had eight long marks on the back caused by a cord, breaking the skin in multiple areas. Due to the severity of the injuries, the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services joined law enforcement in the investigation.
