Udupi CEN Police Arrest Abrar Sheikh 4 Others for MDMA

MDMA Seized Near Maravanthe Beach in Drug Bust

In a major crackdown on narcotics, the Central Crime Branch (CEN) police of Udupi arrested five men for attempting to sell the banned party drug MDMA near Maravanthe beach.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Abrar Sheikh (22), Mohammad Ismail Farhan (25), Mohammad (26), Nauman (27), and Sajjad Mustaqim (21). Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended the suspects and seized 15.59 grams of MDMA valued at approximately Rs78,000.

In addition to the drugs, police confiscated a car worth Rs11.28 lakh and five mobile phones believed to have been used in coordinating the illegal trade.

Authorities have launched a deeper investigation into the network behind the drug supply, aiming to uncover the source and potential links to larger drug syndicates operating in coastal Karnataka.
