In a city first, the Crime Branch apprehended female bouncer Sirinbanu Shaikh (28) along with her accomplice Ramiz Mohammed Belim (30) for attempting to peddle synthetic narcotics.
Both residents of Ramol, Shaikh, who has previously worked as a bouncer at high-profile events and private parties, is suspected to be linked to a wider drug supply network catering to elite clients, including rave party attendees. However, she denied involvement during police interrogation.
The duo was caught near Vinayak Park, Ramol, where police recovered 34.180 grams of a narcotic mix containing Amphetamine and Mephedrone (MD), valued at approximately Rs 3,41,800.
Inspector Deepak Dhola of the Crime Branch confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing to identify further connections within the drug supply chain.
