VENTURA COUNTY — An 18-year-old man and a juvenile were arrested on suspicion of running a drug delivery operation targeting students across Ventura County, authorities announced.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office reported that Edgar Nabte of Thousand Oaks and an unnamed juvenile used social media and messaging apps to sell psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, and nicotine products to juveniles between April and May 2025.

Officials noted that one juvenile required hospitalization after consuming psilocybin mushrooms obtained through the alleged drug delivery service.

On May 21, detectives executed search warrants at residences in the 2600 block of Antonia Drive in Camarillo and the 2300 block of Los Feliz Drive in Thousand Oaks. Authorities seized approximately 47 marijuana vape devices, 62 nicotine vape devices, 18 containers of pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, a large quantity of loose marijuana, and over $5,000 in cash believed to be drug sale proceeds.

Edgar Nabte was arrested during the warrant execution and faces charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale and conspiracy to commit a crime. He is held on $50,000 bail.

The juvenile suspect was later apprehended and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale, conspiracy to commit a crime, and driving without a license.

Both suspects have been formally charged by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. Further details have not been released.
