MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. — The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded Monday night around 10:30 p.m. to a report of a pedestrian collision at the intersection of Bleich and Old Mayfield Roads.

A man, later identified as 49-year-old Anthony Kladis, was found lying in a ditch claiming he had been hit by a vehicle. However, deputies determined there was no collision.

During the investigation, officers noted Kladis appeared impaired and erratic, reportedly under the influence of narcotics. A search revealed methamphetamine and two active warrants for his arrest.

Kladis was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. He now faces charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, and failure to appear on two bench warrants.
