Michael Jordan Cook Jailed for Drug Dealing in Swindon

Two Sentenced in Connection with Local Drug Operations

A man from Swindon has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison for his role in a drug-dealing operation. Michael Jordan Cook, 28, who has no fixed abode, was sentenced to five years and 11 months at Swindon Crown Court after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including supplying cocaine and heroin, as well as possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Owen Rhys Wilson, 20, of Caulfield Road, received a 16-month suspended sentence for possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

The investigation began in October 2022 when officers were alerted to drug-related activities at Baileys Farmhouse, following concerns raised by Swindon Borough Council’s housing team. Upon arrival, officers arrested Wilson, who was found with several wraps of Class A drugs.

Shortly after, Cook was apprehended after a short foot chase. CCTV footage showed him discarding wraps of cannabis in a nearby nursery. Further analysis of their phones indicated that Cook was directing Wilson to supply drugs to local users.

Acting Police Sergeant Hesketh from the Local Police Tasking Team praised the swift actions of the council’s housing department for reporting the suspicious activity. He emphasized that Cook’s significant role in the drug operation warranted a strong sentence and that Wiltshire Police remain committed to tackling drug-related crime in Swindon.
