Gurugram cyber police have arrested three individuals involved in duping people through fake stock trading investment schemes promising high returns, officials said on Friday.
Among the accused, one maintained contact with cyber fraudsters based in Dubai. Police recovered two mobile phones from the suspects during the operation.
The arrested were identified as Rimple Dudhagra from Rajkot district, Gujarat; Akhlaq Ahmed from Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh; and Shahabuddin Ansari from Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh.
Dudhagra was arrested in Jalandhar, Punjab, while Ahmed and Ansari were apprehended in Delhi on Thursday.
During interrogation, Dudhagra revealed that he procured bank accounts through an associate and sold them to a person in Dubai, charging a two percent commission. Ahmed allegedly lured victims by offering cash incentives to obtain their bank account details and paid a two percent commission on the received money to Ansari, police added.
