THE WOODLANDS, Texas – A former Magnolia ISD employee has been arrested following serious allegations of sexually assaulting a teenage student, according to the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office.
Sheila Leticia Valdivieso, 46, a former paraprofessional at Bear Branch Junior High, was taken into custody at her home in The Woodlands on Saturday. She is charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Authorities said the alleged incident came to light when the student reported it to his parents late last week. Precinct 5 constables, in coordination with Magnolia ISD, conducted interviews and gathered evidence. The investigation led to an arrest warrant issued by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
Magnolia ISD confirmed that Valdivieso’s employment has been terminated. In a letter to parents and staff, the district assured the community that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement and is notifying families whose children may have had contact with the former employee.
“We take these matters very seriously and act swiftly to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff,” the district stated.
The investigation remains ongoing.
