SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Springdale man already under investigation for scamming tornado victims out of over $200,000 is now facing additional criminal charges, according to court records.
Austin Lamb, 29, was arrested by the Fayetteville Police Department (FPD) on May 14, following new allegations related to his business, Lamb Enterprises LLC. He was released later the same day after posting a $15,000 bond.
The latest complaint came from a Washington County resident who claimed Lamb misused an $8,300 check meant for roofing work. Investigators say Lamb’s company accepted funds for tornado-related home repairs but failed to complete the work.
This incident adds to a growing list of victims. On February 1, 2024, a Rogers man reported that he paid Lamb nearly $36,900 to fix tornado damage from May 2024. The work was never done. On February 20, 2025, two more victims reported losses totaling over $65,800—including an elderly couple who paid $32,000 with no repairs completed.
In May 2025, another woman came forward, saying she gave Lamb more than $8,000 in June 2024 for roofing materials. She later found that his business had shut down, and Lamb had blocked her on social media.
FPD’s investigation revealed troubling financial details. Lamb’s account had just $66.49 at the end of May 2024, but between June and November, it received $219,080.22 in payments. By the end of that period, only $1.95 remained. The affidavit noted no business insurance was paid, resulting in its cancellation.
Authorities claim Lamb used the funds for luxury purchases including:
A new car, a puppy, and a diamond ring
Over 50 restaurant visits in 25 days
Liquor, tobacco, and entertainment
Electronics from Apple and Best Buy
Personal donations and payments to jail inmates
Court documents state that Lamb operated from several now-defunct addresses and is also facing lawsuits from other businesses related to similar roofing disputes.
Lamb is scheduled to appear in court on June 9, according to records from the Washington County Detention Center.
