Two men were arrested on Wednesday for the murder of a 33-year-old man named Kanhaiya in Khyala, Delhi, following a violent altercation late Monday night. The incident reportedly began as a dispute over smoking outside the victim’s residence.
The accused have been identified as Vinod (27), a cook by profession, and Arjun alias Tinya (39), an auto driver, police said.
According to police sources, Kanhaiya was repeatedly struck on the head with a kadaa (metal bracelet) during the confrontation. Though initially taken to Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, where he received first aid and was discharged, his condition worsened the following day. He was brought back to the hospital by his family and declared dead.
