On May 13, 2025, the Central Crime Station (CCS) police in Hyderabad arrested A. Shravan Kumar Rao, a businessman and the managing director of a Telugu TV channel, in connection with a Rs6.58 crore iron ore trade scam.
The arrest followed a complaint filed by Akarsh Krishna, director of Akhand Infratech India Pvt Ltd, who accused Rao of posing as an intermediary for Karnataka-based Acore Industries Pvt Ltd. According to the complaint, Rao was allegedly involved in fraudulent trade practices related to iron ore transactions, leading to the substantial financial loss.
Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
