The Mumbai Crime Branch arrested Sudhanshu Dwivedi on Saturday night in Bhopal for his alleged involvement in an online betting fraud. Dwivedi was apprehended near the Gammon India Mall in the TT Nagar area after the Mumbai team coordinated with local police.
Sources suggest that the Mumbai Crime Branch had been tracking Dwivedi’s activities for some time. Once his location was confirmed, a team traveled from Mumbai to Bhopal, where they successfully arrested him. It has also been reported that his wife was arrested along with him. The couple reportedly owns a luxury car worth approximately Rs1 crore, which could be linked to their illicit activities.
This arrest highlights the growing concerns surrounding online betting scams, which have become increasingly prevalent, leading to significant law enforcement action.
