by Ananya Mehta

A gang of Kerala natives posing as CBI officials has been arrested in Bengaluru for extorting money from students from Kerala. The Soladevanahalli police recently apprehended the suspects—Deepak R Chandra (37), Pramoda AS (42), Anantha Krishna (23), and Adarsh (22)—all hailing from Kerala.

The gang targeted students, misleading them into believing they were in legal trouble, and extorted money under the guise of official investigations.
