CEN Police Arrest Three in Uppoor with 10 kg of Ganja Worth Rs8.4 Lakh

Ganja brought from Mumbai, seized along with cash and mobile phones

In a major operation, the CEN police arrested three individuals—Satyaraj alias Tambi Anna (32), Krishna (43), and Shakilesh (25)—in Uppoor, Bramhavara for the possession of ganja. The arrests took place after a raid near KG Cross Road on Friday, led by CEN Inspector Ramchandra Naik.

The trio allegedly brought ganja from Mumbai, and the police seized 10 kg 138 grams of the illegal substance, which is valued at Rs8.1 lakh. In addition, Rs1,570 in cash and three mobile phones were recovered, bringing the total value of the seized items to Rs8.4 lakh.

A case has been registered under sections 8(C) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is ongoing. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug trafficking and illegal activities in the region.
