In a shocking incident, Pandranki Rajasekhar (age unknown) was arrested for the murder of his parents, Pandranki Appalanaidu and Pandranki Jayamma, in a brutal attack in Challavani Thota village, Pusapatirega Mandal. The Bhogapuram CI, G. Ramakrishna, apprehended Rajasekhar on April 28 near Chodamma Agraharam Junction, following a detailed investigation led by DSP M. Srinivasa Rao.
The motive behind this heinous act stemmed from a longstanding property dispute. According to reports, Appalanaidu, the father, had previously transferred 20 cents of land to his daughter, Radha Kumari, during her marriage, while retaining 70 cents of land for himself. Rajasekhar, burdened with debts of Rs12 lakh, continuously pressured his parents to sell the land. Despite efforts by village elders to mediate and resolve the conflict, Rajasekhar’s frustration led to increasing tensions with his parents, culminating in the tragic incident.
Reports suggest that after separating from his parents last year, Rajasekhar’s financial desperation and unresolved disputes finally pushed him to commit this violent act. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
