Raymond Carter Jr. & Others Charged in VA Shooting

Three men face multiple felonies for October 2024 incident

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. — The Albemarle County Police Department, with assistance from Charlottesville Police and the U.S. Marshals Service, has charged three individuals in connection to a shooting that occurred in October 2024.

The suspects are identified as:

Raymond Carter Jr., 19, of Charlottesville

Darnell Morris Jr., 24

Kaveigh Palmer, 20, of Richmond

Each of the three men is facing seven felony charges, including:

Aggravated malicious wounding

Shooting with intent to maim or kill by mob

Gang participation in a violent act

Authorities report that Carter and Morris are currently held at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail, while Palmer remains in custody at Richmond City Jail.

No additional details about the shooting or the motive have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
