Woman Faces Multiple Charges After Allegedly Using Victims' Info for Prescription Drugs

MANHATTAN, KS — Marijke Torres, 35, was arrested by Riley County Police on suspicion of forgery, unlawfully obtaining prescription drugs, and identity theft.

According to the RCPD arrest report, Torres allegedly used the personal information of two women to obtain prescription drugs on Monday. Both women were reported as victims of the crime, which led to Torres facing multiple charges, including three counts of identity theft.

Torres was initially jailed on a $14,000 bond, but she is no longer in custody. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected.
