Marice Tyrone Lee Arrested for Meth Possession After Dumpster Diving

Homeless man taken into custody for probation violation, drugs found

A homeless man was arrested after a complaint about dumpster diving led police to discover methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

At 7:36 p.m. on March 20, a caller reported that someone was rummaging through a dumpster in the parking lot of Urban Lofts apartments on Ruth Drive.

Police Find Drugs and Paraphernalia
When officers arrived, they identified the man as 40-year-old Marice Tyrone Lee, who was already on probation. Authorities took Lee into custody for violating his probation. A search of his belongings revealed methamphetamine and used hypodermic needles inside his backpack.

Charges and Detention
Lee was formally charged with:

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of drug-related objects

As of Monday, he remains in pretrial detention on a low bail amount.
