In a series of coordinated operations on Wednesday, the Indore Crime Branch arrested four individuals involved in drug trafficking, seizing narcotics and property worth approximately Rs15 lakh. The operation resulted in the confiscation of 80 grams of MD drugs and 20 grams of brown sugar, alongside vehicles and mobile phones.
Acting on intelligence, the Crime Branch initiated the first operation near Laxmibai Station on MR4 Road. Anwar Khan from Dewas and Preeti from Sehore were arrested, with 65 grams of MD drugs and two mobile phones recovered from their possession. Anwar, who has 23 criminal cases against him, including attempted murder, assault, and illicit liquor smuggling, admitted to selling drugs to finance his addiction.
In the second operation, police arrested Asif Pathan from Daloda in Ratlam near Prince Communication Center on Dhar Road. From his possession, authorities seized 14.58 grams of MD drugs, a motorcycle, and a mobile phone. Asif, who has two prior cases of attempted murder and criminal intimidation in Ratlam and Mandsaur, confessed to buying drugs at lower prices from Ratlam and selling them in Indore for a profit.
