Las Vegas (KSNV) — Erika Covington, 21, and Arionna Taylor, 22, have been sentenced to prison for the 2023 murder of 25-year-old Bryan Altamirano-Solano. A judge accepted a plea agreement on Thursday, sentencing the two women to serve between 10 and 25 years behind bars.
Covington and Taylor, who were 20 at the time of the crime, pleaded guilty in November to charges of second-degree murder and robbery with a deadly weapon. Their sentences will run for a minimum of 10 years, with the possibility of up to 25 years in prison.
The murder occurred in May 2023 at Caesars Palace. Altamirano-Solano was found dead from a gunshot wound in his hotel room. Surveillance footage revealed that he had entered his room with the two women, who were seen running out just 10 minutes later.
A cartridge casing found at the scene linked the crime to another incident involving Taylor. The women were later identified and arrested through social media and investigative efforts.
This tragic case highlights the violent loss of life in a popular Las Vegas hotel and serves as a reminder of the dangers that can occur in seemingly safe spaces.
