the Nagpur Crime Branch’s Narcotics Control Team made a significant drug bust, apprehending Yash Dipak Ingole (22) and seizing 59 grams of MD powder during a raid in Manepura Chowk near Ganga Bai Ghat Road, located in the Kotwali Police Station area.
The raid, conducted between 1:30 am and 3:30 am, was based on a tip-off received by the Crime Branch’s Social Security Branch. Upon searching Yash Ingole, who is a resident of the same area, the police discovered the MD powder, valued at approximately Rs6,10,000.
During questioning, Ingole revealed that the drugs were sourced from Dhiraj Malik, a local supplier from Ganga Bai Ghat, Nagpur. The police have now launched a search operation to locate Malik and his associates.
Ingole has been charged under sections 8(c), 22, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, which deal with drug possession, trafficking, and distribution. A case has been filed at Kotwali Police Station, and Ingole, along with the seized drugs, has been handed over for further legal action.
The raid was carried out under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kumar Singal, with key support from Joint Commissioner Nisaar Tamboli, Additional Commissioner Sanjay Patil, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Maknikar, and Assistant Commissioner Abhijeet Patil. Police Inspector Gajanan Gulhane and his team played a crucial role in executing the operation.
