TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A shooting at Creekwood Village Apartments on Saturday night left 22-year-old Marquise Scott dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
Tuscaloosa police responded to the scene and discovered Scott’s body inside an apartment. Investigators from the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit were called to handle the case.
After interviewing witnesses and the suspect, 25-year-old Lagabriel Jones, authorities charged him with murder. Jones is currently being held without bond under Aniah’s Law. Police revealed that Scott and Jones were acquaintances with a history of conflicts.
