Kiln, MS — A 70-year-old man from Kiln, Mississippi, has been arrested on drug trafficking charges following a search warrant executed at his residence on Standard Dedeaux Road.
Michal Spiers was taken into custody on Thursday by Narcotics Agents of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office for the Trafficking of Controlled Substances. During the investigation, Spiers was believed to have been selling methamphetamine, and law enforcement discovered over 55 grams of the drug, packaged in 15 separate baggies, likely for resale.
Sheriff Ricky Adam commented on the arrest, stating, “Spiers is no stranger to the drug game and he seems to think he is above the law. While he may have avoided being arrested in the past, we’ll catch up to you and do everything we can to shut down your drug dealing business. Today was a win for the good guys.”
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office also encouraged the public to continue providing tips, saying, “Keep the tips coming! We listen and follow up on each and every tip. Notice we didn’t say anything about not judging.”
Spiers is currently being held in custody as the investigation continues.
