BANGOR, ME — Three individuals were arrested after authorities discovered over 15 pounds of drugs, worth an estimated $750,000, inside a Bangor apartment. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) initiated an investigation into suspected drug trafficking at an apartment on 247 Ohio Street in Bangor.
Undercover agents reportedly purchased fentanyl from 25-year-old Brandon Bautista of Bangor during the operation. On Wednesday, MDEA agents executed a search warrant at the Ohio Street apartment, where they seized over 10 pounds of methamphetamine, more than 3.5 pounds of fentanyl, over 2 pounds of cocaine, three handguns, and more than $120,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Bautista, along with 28-year-old Lacey Sockabasin and 31-year-old William Wright, both of Bangor, were arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs. Authorities revealed that at the time of his arrest, Wright was out on bail for similar charges involving crack cocaine and fentanyl trafficking.
The drugs and cash seized in the bust have an estimated street value of over $750,000. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
