Charlotte School Administrator Scott Waybright Arrested for Peeping
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Scott Waybright, 58, an Assistant Head of School at Charlotte Country Day School, was arrested on December 6 after being accused of secretly using a camera to record others. The case came to light after Charlotte Country Day School notified the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on November 29 of suspected criminal activities involving Waybright.
The investigation was taken over by the department’s Sexual Assault Unit. Waybright turned himself in on December 6 and was later transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. He faces five counts of possessing a photographic image obtained through illegal means, and five counts of secretly using a photographic device to view another’s body or undergarments.
Waybright’s employment with the school was terminated on December 2, following the revelation of the charges. This marks the second arrest of a Charlotte Country Day School employee, the first involving an inappropriate relationship with a student.
