GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) — A father in Goshen Township, Ohio, has been arrested on charges of aggravated murder following the tragic death of his 4-month-old daughter, Evelyn Kammerer.
Emergency crews responded to the family’s home at 7 a.m. on Monday after reports that the baby was not breathing. Evelyn was quickly transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries approximately 12 hours later despite efforts to save her.
As detectives continued to investigate the case, they uncovered that Evelyn’s twin sister had sustained serious injuries in the past, though those injuries had not been reported. Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the injuries the twins sustained or the exact cause of Evelyn’s death.
Andrew Kammerer, the babies’ father, has been charged with aggravated murder and felonious assault. He is scheduled for a bond hearing on Thursday afternoon. The investigation is ongoing.
