The Hyderabad Special Operation Team (SOT) along with Dundigal Police arrested two drug peddlers on Tuesday while they were transporting a large quantity of ganja. The two suspects, identified as Sunindra Kumar Singh (25) and Laxmi (30), were apprehended near Exit 5 of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Dundigal.
The police seized 86 kilograms of ganja worth approximately Rs 33.10 lakh from the duo, who were allegedly transporting the drugs from Berhampur, Odisha, to Delhi via Telangana.
The police have linked the drug consignment to a larger network, with several other individuals involved in the operation. Amit Agarwal, the receiver based in Delhi, and Raju, the supplier from Berhampur, along with Shiva, the transporter from Malkangiri, Odisha, are currently being sought by the authorities.
The authorities are now intensifying their efforts to apprehend the remaining members of the drug trafficking syndicate, which spans across multiple states. The duo’s arrest marks another significant breakthrough in Hyderabad’s ongoing battle against narcotic trafficking.
