Two men from Kerala, N Rameez (25) and M Isaac (28), were arrested in Saidapet on charges of smuggling and peddling methamphetamine. The police recovered 2.8 grams of the drug from the suspects’ possession.

The duo, hailing from Kannur, Kerala, were acting suspiciously around CIT Nagar when they were stopped by the police. Upon frisking, officers found methamphetamine hidden in their bags. Following their arrest, it was revealed during questioning that they had received the consignment of drugs from Kerala, where they had frequent online interactions with a peddler.

The investigation further revealed that the two were part of a larger smuggling operation. Police seized their mobile phones to aid in further investigation.

The authorities are continuing their probe into the drug network, with the two suspects now in custody.
