NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Five suspects have been indicted after allegedly firing over 30 shots at Nashville police officers during a multi-city pursuit. According to a grand jury report, the suspects were arrested following a violent chase, during which one detective was targeted with multiple shots. Police seized six firearms, some of which had fully automatic modifications, along with cash and marijuana.
Authorities expressed relief that Detective Lawson was not injured during the incident. The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department (MNPD) praised the detective’s efforts to reduce gun violence through precision policing.
The suspects face numerous charges, including attempted first-degree murder, firearm theft, and drug-related offenses. The following individuals were indicted:
