LOVELAND, Ohio (WXIX/Gray News) – An Ohio mother has been charged after a disturbing video surfaced, showing her allegedly abusing her infant daughter. Cloe Workman, 20, from Loveland, Ohio, faces serious charges, including child endangerment and domestic violence.
The viral video, which shows Workman spitting on her child’s face and squirting dish soap into the baby’s mouth, prompted an immediate investigation by local police and Child Protective Services (CPS). Authorities acted quickly to address the situation and gather more evidence to support the allegations.
Workman appeared in court where a public defense attorney was appointed to her case. She was placed under a “criminal temporary protection order” following the arraignment, according to the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.
In the wake of the abuse allegations, the child is now under the care of Workman’s grandparents. A GoFundMe page has been set up by the child’s father’s family to raise funds to help him hire an attorney and seek custody of his daughter.
Workman’s pre-trial hearing is scheduled for January 6, 2025, at 9 a.m. as the investigation continues.
