Rajaram Mahato Koiri Arrested for Selling Illegal Drugs in Birgunj

Police seize 151,860 tramadol capsules from Koiri’s store

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Rajaram Mahato Koiri, a grocery store owner in Pragatinagar, Birgunj, was arrested by a team from the Armed Police Force for selling illegal drugs. Koiri was operating the Srishti Kirana General Store when authorities raided the location, uncovering a stash of 151,860 tramadol hydrochloride capsules.

The operation was conducted by a joint team from No. 13 Battalion Parsa, BOP Sirsiya, and the Birgunj Customs Office, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Rijal. The tramadol capsules were stored in five cartons and were confiscated during the raid.

Following the arrest, Koiri was taken into custody in front of the Birgunj Customs Office. The arrested individual and the seized drugs were handed over to the police for further investigation and legal action.
