Former Seven star Andrew O’Keefe has been charged with drug possession, just two days after a suspected heroin overdose.

O’Keefe, 52, turned himself in at the Rose Bay police station in Sydney around 2 p.m. on Monday. After driving to the station on New South Head Road, he was reportedly involved in a confrontation with photographers before entering the building. Moments later, he was seen leaving the station, escorted by three officers and taken into a police car.

O’Keefe’s belt, spectacles, and shoes were removed during the arrest.

A spokesperson from NSW Police confirmed O’Keefe’s custody, stating that he was arrested around 2:25 p.m. in connection with an alleged breach of bail. Authorities also claimed to have discovered drugs in his vehicle shortly after the arrest.

By Monday evening, NSW Police confirmed that O’Keefe had been charged with breach of bail and possession of a prohibited drug.
