TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Ashley Lynea Chase, a 40-year-old woman from Topeka, was arrested on drug and traffic charges in Jackson County on Thursday, Nov. 21.
Sheriff Tim Morse reported that a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a Ford Taurus around 1 a.m. for multiple traffic violations. The driver was identified as Chase.
A Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 detected the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed illegal substances inside the car.
Chase was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges including:
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of a hallucinogenic drug
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Driving while suspended
No proof of insurance
Displaying a canceled, revoked, or suspended driver’s license.
