Two Arrested for Burglary and Theft in Parke County

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – Amber Butcher, 50, and Travis Butcher, 47, were arrested Monday in connection with multiple thefts in Parke County.

The Parke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary report on Harbison Road, where the homeowner claimed several items had been stolen over the past 24 hours. Later in the day, the homeowner reported another burglary, this time with a vehicle missing from the garage.

Authorities located Amber Butcher driving the stolen vehicle nearby and initiated a traffic stop. The second suspect, Travis Butcher, was identified and arrested near Cayuga. A subsequent search of the couple’s home in Cayuga led to the discovery of additional stolen property.

Both suspects were booked into the Parke County Jail and face charges of burglary, theft, and auto theft.
