Normal Man Arrested on Multiple Sex Crime Charges Involving Minors
Brady Stoewer, 23, faces serious charges after investigation into abuse claims.
NORMAL (25News Now) – Brady J. Stoewer, a 23-year-old man from Normal, was arrested and charged with a series of sex-related offenses following an investigation by Normal Police.
Stoewer faces 14 counts of criminal sexual assault (involving supervision of minors), four counts of criminal sexual abuse (victims under 18 in a position of trust), two counts of grooming, and one count of child pornography involving the solicitation of a minor.
The investigation began on June 16, after police were notified of a sexual abuse incident involving a juvenile victim. In the following days, additional victims were identified and interviewed by a trained forensic interviewer.
Police determined Stoewer worked at a local tumbling and cheer facility, where the abuse allegedly took place. Upon confirming evidence of the crimes, the facility’s owner terminated Stoewer’s employment immediately.
The charges against Stoewer were reviewed by the McLean County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the case was presented to a grand jury for further action.
