In a significant breakthrough, Mangaluru City Police, in collaboration with Goa authorities, arrested a 44-year-old Nigerian national, Michael Okafar Odikpo, for his alleged involvement in drug peddling. The arrest occurred in the Calangute area of Goa, where Odikpo was staying in a room at Soilim in North Goa.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officials have stated that Odikpo, originally from Lagos, Nigeria, was suspected of being part of a larger drug trafficking operation. The authorities are currently investigating his connections and possible involvement with drug networks operating in the region.
