LEXINGTON, Okla. (KFOR) – On Friday, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) confirmed that Deputy Warden Tasha Parker of the Lexington Assessment and Reception Center was arrested on charges of introducing contraband into a penal institution.

Parker has been dismissed from her role at the facility following her arrest.

ODOC officials commented on the matter with a statement from Director Steven Harpe: “The overwhelming majority of ODOC’s employees are dedicated to our mission and vision. However, we will continue to hold accountable those who fail to protect the safety and security of Oklahomans by not following our policies or state laws.”

Parker is currently being held at the Cleveland County Detention Center.
