A taekwondo instructor accused of a triple murder in Sydney’s west will soon decide whether to contest the police allegations against him.

Kwang Kyung Yoo, 50, was charged earlier this year with the murders of Min Cho, 41, and her seven-year-old son at North Parramatta, along with the woman’s husband, Steven Cho, 39, at a Baulkham Hills unit.

The police allege that Ms. Cho and the child were murdered in February inside a taekwondo studio where the boy was a student. Yoo, known to his students as “Master Lion,” allegedly left their bodies in the studio before driving Ms. Cho’s white BMW to the family’s Baulkham Hills home, where Mr. Cho was fatally stabbed multiple times.

Yoo has been in custody since his arrest in February and has yet to enter a plea.

In Parramatta Local Court on Thursday, the court revealed that a case conference would take place on October 21 to determine the accused’s plea and address any disputed facts. A plea offer may also be discussed during this conference.
