Cleveland Entrepreneur Bobby George Faces Serious Felony Charges

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Bobby George, the Cleveland entrepreneur known for owning TownHall, REBoL, and Barley House. George faces a range of serious felony charges, including attempted murder, rape, kidnapping, felonious assault, and strangulation. These charges stem from multiple violent incidents between November 2023 and July 2024, which were reported to authorities in August 2024.

Details of the Alleged Attacks

The charges outline several instances of abuse. On November 14, 2023, George allegedly pinned a woman to the ground, strangled her, and repeatedly slammed her head against the ground, resulting in post-concussion syndrome. Between November 2023 and May 2024, he is accused of following another woman to her car, forcing her to exit the vehicle, and holding a gun to her stomach before bringing her back to his residence.

Between June 8 and 10, 2024, George allegedly attempted to kill a woman by shoving a towel down her throat while she was attempting to pray in a closet, during which he also allegedly strangled and assaulted her. Additionally, sometime between May and July 2024, George is accused of sexually assaulting a woman who had just gotten out of the shower. On July 27, 2024, he allegedly threw another woman into a closet when she tried to leave.

Defense Lawyer’s Response

George’s attorney, Kevin Spellacy, argued that his client was unaware of the severity of the accusations and was deeply shocked by the claims. Spellacy emphasized that George and the victim were in a relationship at the time and criticized law enforcement for what he claimed was an inadequate investigation. He also asserted that video evidence shows the victim and George spent time together following the July 27 allegation, casting doubt on the charges.

Spellacy further stated that George’s charges were initially mishandled, with an incorrect murder charge later changed to attempted murder after a discussion with the prosecution. He also expressed frustration over the process of turning George in to authorities, alleging poor coordination with the Cleveland Police Department.

Status of Arrest

As of the latest reports, George is not in custody. His defense team has been working to arrange his surrender, though delays in the process have occurred. Spellacy criticized the inefficiency of law enforcement in handling the case.

The Charges Against George

George faces the following felony charges:

Attempted Murder
Rape
Four Counts of Kidnapping
Felonious Assault
Two Counts of Strangulation
The charges arise from a series of violent attacks on multiple women over several months. Despite the gravity of the accusations, George’s defense attorney remains confident that the case will be properly addressed in court once law enforcement procedures are followed correctly.
