CEDAR CITY, Utah — Three Southern Utah University students were arrested the day before Thanksgiving after allegedly stealing two refrigerators from a campus loading dock.

Theft of Refrigerators from SUU Loading Dock
On November 11, 2024, Brock Felder (20), Hercy Miller (24), and Peter Dadson Jr. (25) were seen on security footage taking two refrigerators valued at $1,500 each from the loading dock of the SUU bookstore. The footage showed the three students loading the items into their vehicles before driving away.

Security Footage and Identification
Using the SUU directories, police identified the students and their vehicles. They discovered that one refrigerator had been placed in an apartment shared by two of the suspects, while the second was found in the garage of the third suspect’s home.

Suspects’ Claims
When questioned, the suspects gave different accounts of their actions. One student claimed that the idea to take the refrigerators was suggested by another suspect, while others said they assumed the refrigerators were being discarded since they had been sitting on the loading dock for nearly a month.

None of the suspects consulted anyone before taking the items.
