In separate anti-drug operations, the Telangana Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) Force, in coordination with local police and railway authorities, arrested three individuals for transporting and peddling narcotics in the city.
Officials recovered 2.6 grams of methamphetamine and over 16 kilograms of ganja, collectively valued at more than Rs8 lakh from the accused.
In the first operation, EAGLE Force personnel, along with Hayathnagar police, apprehended two drug peddlers at Bhagyalatha Colony, Hayathnagar. The accused were identified as Bhansilal, alias Bhansilal Paware alias Rahul Saini, a 22-year-old chaat vendor, and Yogesh Rankavath (25), his helper. Both are originally from Nagaur district, Rajasthan.
The arrests form part of ongoing efforts by Telangana authorities to curb illegal drug trade and trafficking across the state. Further investigations are underway to identify other members of the network.
