Bengaluru: A 30-year-old man, Srinivas, has been arrested in India after allegedly murdering his brother-in-law, 24-year-old Ranjith, over suspicions of an illicit relationship with his younger sister.
Srinivas, a dog kennel owner from Bairappanahalli, reportedly lured Ranjith to a location near Bannerghatta on the pretext of resolving the dispute. During the encounter, he allegedly struck Ranjith on the head with a metal rod, killing him instantly.
Following the incident, Srinivas placed the body in his car and surrendered at the Bannerghatta Police Station, confessing to the crime. Police have taken him into custody and initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the murder.
Authorities are examining the family dynamics, the alleged prior tensions, and the motive, while also collecting forensic evidence and witness statements.
