O’Landis Millican, mayor of Arcadia, has been arrested following an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation into alleged misconduct in office.
Officials say Millican misappropriated over $30,000 in town funds for personal use. In 2025, he reportedly spent more than $21,000 on repairs to his personal vehicle, issuing multiple checks from the town’s accounts. Additionally, he is accused of using more than $7,800 in public money to rent equipment—including tents, lights, generators, and cooling fans—for private events at his home in 2024 and 2025.
As a result of the investigation, Millican was arrested and booked on four counts of malfeasance in office and one count of felony theft. He has since been released on bond.
Millican is serving his second term as mayor. Authorities continue to review the scope of the alleged misconduct.
