Two Leesville residents, Imelda Rivera Acosta, 27, and Linda Escobar, 45, have been arrested on multiple drug charges following a months-long investigation by the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force.
On March 9, authorities pulled over their vehicle and discovered illegal substances. A subsequent search of their home in Leesville, executed under a warrant, uncovered:
About 50 THC vapes and various THC products
682 ecstasy (MDMA) tabs
920 grams of marijuana (≈2.03 pounds)
56 grams of cocaine (≈1.98 ounces)
128 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms (≈4.52 ounces)
$1,300 in cash

Both women are being held at the Vernon Parish Jail. Bond was set at $50,500 for Acosta and $51,135 for Escobar. Authorities also placed an immigration detainer on Acosta. Officials noted that additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
