Arunachal Pradesh: In a major breakthrough, Arunachal Pradesh Police have arrested notorious fraudster Sunil Baglari, who was hiding in Guwahati, in connection with a Rs1.5 crore fake contract scam.
Baglari, along with his associates, allegedly cheated an Arunachal-based contractor by issuing fake government work orders and promising lucrative contracts.
Modus Operandi
Investigators revealed that the accused:
Created forged documents with fake approvals
Used a forged signature of Mamata Banerjee to appear authentic
Promised government contracts to extract large sums of money
Ran a fraud network across West Bengal

A case (No. 25/25) was registered at Doimukh Police Station following a complaint by the victim contractor
Sunil Baglari was arrested after technical investigation and tracking
