A 30-year-old food delivery worker, Suresh Rathod, was allegedly murdered by his brother-in-law, Lala Vasava, following a dispute over domestic violence against children.
Rathod often intervened when Vasava physically assaulted his wife and children. On October 22, after Vasava beat his eldest daughter, Rathod confronted him and slapped him as a warning. Enraged, Vasava threatened Rathod.
The following morning, October 23, Vasava allegedly entered Rathod’s home at around 8 am and attacked him with an iron rod, striking multiple blows to the head and face. Rathod died instantly.
Police teams led by Inspector RR Makwana tracked and arrested Vasava in the Dakka Ovara area.
2. Shakil Banga Murder – Bhestan, Maharashtra
In a separate incident, 25-year-old Shakil Banga was fatally stabbed near a tea stall in Bhestan late Thursday night. Banga intervened when a quarrel escalated between the accused and history-sheeter Sohel Sheikh.
The accused – Imroz Ansari, Shahrukh Ansari, Arbaz Pathan, and Salman Lassi – attacked Banga. Out of the four, three with criminal records were arrested, while Lassi remains at large.
Police have booked all involved for murder, and further investigation is ongoing.
